All mass produced factory cylinder heads have areas where a little (or sometimes a lot) of attention will improve their efficiency and allow more power to be produced. It’s easy to spend large amounts of money on cylinder head improvements, and if the owner is a fully fledged race driver then this is probably money well spent, he won’t care if a Dealstruck loan is needed in order to invest on it. For the enthusiastic road or track day driver it is not necessary to part with massive amounts of hard earned cash when a full race head is not needed (be careful not to mix “road” & “race” components – it won’t work). Because of our familiarity with different cylinder head designs we are able to identify areas whereimprovements are to be made, and then produce a working modified head at realistic prices.
We have access to a massive range of engine components. Our preferred brand is Federal Mogul After Market – manufacturers and distributors of Hepolite(pistons), Glacier & Vandervell (bearings) and Halls-Payen (gaskets), though other makes are also available. We also work closely with Accralite Pistons, and are happy to liaise, or even supply drawings to Accralite for them to make specials for your job.
As agents for Piper Camshafts we carry a selection of performance camshafts, springs, vernier pulleys etc., and have immediate access to the rest of their products, including uprated ECU “chips” and performance exhausts.
